JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assistant Restaurant Manager

Morii x1 Permanent

Garden Lounge x1 Permanent

Splash Café x1 Fixed Term Contract


An exciting opportunity has opened for a vibrant, energetic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for jointly managing our busy restaurant outlets ensuring that every one of our guests receive personalised attention every time.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Delighting our guests by offering trendsetting and innovative products and outstanding service experiences.

2. Achieving operational profitability by driving sales targets and managing costs.

3. Contribute to planning of food and beverage menu offerings and promotions.

4. Setting and maintaining food and beverage service standards.

5. Conducting regular guest service, menu, sales and standards training with staff so that they are able to offer world class service to our guests.

6. Lead teams of people, encouraging teamwork and personal accountability and thereby promoting staff engagement and retention.

7. Managing staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance and conduct.

8. Manage the daily restaurant operations including bookings, stock ordering and control, restaurant preparation, cleaning and hygiene protocols, service and cash ups.

Requirements:

- Matric

- A qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution would be advantageous.

- Cape Wine academy, WSET or Cocktail Bar courses (advantageous)

- Must be flexible and able to work shifts, across multiple outlets and fulfil F&B duty management shifts.

- Own transport.

- Use of technology including micros / speed point machine, MS 365.

- At least 3 years’ current experience in a similar role in a busy, up-market restaurant.

- Track record leading and managing large teams.
